I’m writing to you from the Midwest Regional Coaches Council ICF conference in Des Moines, Iowa. And what a blast it’s been.
The room is full of friends. Every few minutes I turn around and there’s another familiar face.
Here’s what strikes me every time I come to one of these gatherings. Most of us coaches work from home. We work solo. We show up for our clients, we do good work, and then we close the laptop and it’s just us again. So stepping into a room full of people who do what you do is a real shift. The energy changes. The connection is different. You remember you’re part of something bigger than your own practice.
This year’s theme is Seeds of Transformation, and we’ve just wrapped the morning keynote. I’m looking forward to the sessions ahead, the conversations in the hallways, and running into whoever’s here that I haven’t found yet.
