It’s post-Labor Day, and I’m laughing at myself a little as I write this, because I didn’t labor on Labor Day. I hope you didn’t either.
I went glamping. If you know me well enough, that’ll get a laugh out of you right there. And the best part wasn’t the trip itself, it was the terrible cell service. No signal meant no scrolling, no notifications, nothing pulling my attention away from the people actually in front of me. We talked. We interacted. We had fun the old-fashioned way.
Turns out I wasn’t the only one who’s labor day plans were thwarted. Nancy, choice Magazine’s Podcast Manager volunteers for a dog rescue facility. Imagine to her and her family’s surprise, that despite having voiced their concerns, yet being assured the opposite, this dog was indeed pregnant. Thirteen puppies later, on Labor Day, Nancy was proven right in the most literal way possible.
I don’t have a tidy coaching lesson to wrap around that one. Just a reminder to take a moment, laugh at yourself and the world, and not take everything so seriously. That’s it. That’s the post.
