I can’t help but reflect on the process behind choice magazine, especially the themes we choose. Last quarter, the theme was chaos. And you know how it goes: what you focus on expands. No matter where I looked, there was evidence of chaos. Interesting, but I brought that on myself. I chose the topic. I learned a lot from it, don’t get me wrong. Podcasts, articles, conversations, all circling chaos in one form or another.
To be clear, my life didn’t erupt into chaos. It was more of a noticing.
And speaking of noticing, I just finished proofreading the Presence issue. Thank goodness we’re moving from chaos to presence.
One of the articles in this issue talks about the things that bring us into presence. I don’t know if you’ve noticed it in the background of my videos, but there’s a painting behind me. I’ve had it for years. Sometimes presence requires remembrance, or memory. This painting takes me to the water, to the beach. That’s what actually calms me, grounds me, brings me back down to earth.
I’m happy to say we’re almost to the printer with the Presence issue. So goodbye chaos, hello presence. The podcast for this issue starts next week, so keep an eye out for those episodes.
In the meantime, if you want a preview of presence in action, check out Janet Harvey’s podcast conversation with Silvia Tassarotti about their upcoming book, Regenerative People. It really resonated with me. If you want to read a few chapters ahead of the full release, go to go.invitechange.com/regen. Reach out to Janet and Sylvia and let them know your thoughts. I’m sure they’d appreciate hearing from you.
Take care, everyone. Have a great weekend.
If you’re not a subscriber to choice, come on over to choice-online.com/subscribe. We’d love to have you as a reader. And if you’re already a reader, thank you. We really appreciate you.
I am present to the thankfulness. There you go.
