Book Review
I met Dianne Gaudet at an ICF Conference in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada; and as luck would have it, I won a copy of her debut book, entitled: If There Are No Limits…
A guide to living with passion, purpose and possibilities. Dianne does a great job of exploring how we’ve lost our way in an incessant, 24/7, on-demand world; how we are too easily being afflicted with the “overwhelmed” virus and unknowingly joining a not so exclusive club of the walking living, going about the business of life and feeling spiritually dead inside.
Isn’t this the essence of what coaching is all about; helping clients who are feeling overwhelmed or who are ready to make changes in their life and at work, so they can reconnect with the spirit of who they truly are and live more authentically?
Each chapter filled with powerful questions, exercises and guided reflections to help readers regain balance and inject more meaning in their life. Inspirational stories and a pragmatic approach form the basis of a holistic life plan that Dianne helps readers infuse with logic, a healthy dose of intuition and the emotions of a contemplative heart. In the process, readers can embrace their inner strengths and draw on their own wisdom.
The book invites readers to take a fresh perspective, without limits, hence the title – If there are no limits.., and respond in their own unique way to the incessant demands that continue to derail their plans.
This book is a great companion to coaching and is ideally suited to individuals who are ready to make positive changes in their lives, whether they are young adults overwhelmed with too many choices; boomers charting a new course in “un-retirement”; individuals who are feeling overwhelmed with specific aspects of life or who want to become exemplary leaders in their personal and professional lives.
This a book you’ll want to read over and over again.
From the Author
With life charging at warp speed in a 24/7, on-demand world vying for every ounce of energy, is it any wonder we hunger for more meaning and balance.
Like many others, I tried to do it all, only to realize I was far too busy making a living instead of living with balance and joy.
I share with you a holistic process and stories that will inspire you to transform your own life. If you’re ready to live intentionally and to respond more effectively to the incessant demands that get in the way, this book is for you.
Refuel your passions and create possibilities to live on purpose while you provide a living legacy for those who are blessed to be part of your life.
